COTS in Petaluma Recipient of 87 Turkeys for Thanksgiving Food Box Program
PETALUMA, Calif. – Optio Solutions, LLC., an accounts receivable management company, and CrossCheck, Inc., a national payment approval and guarantee company, provided 87 turkeys as a donation to COTS, Committee on the Shelterless, in Petaluma, California on November 11. Employees from both companies participated by donating a 14-18 pound frozen turkey for delivery to the local non-profit. COTS will use the turkeys for their Food Box program for the Thanksgiving meal.
“This was the first year we donated turkeys as a group and all together we contributed over 85 turkeys. COTS provides a truly worthwhile service to our community and we are proud to be able to give back,” said Chris Schumacher, Optio Solutions' President and CEO. “I was very impressed of the participation from the Optio Solutions and CrossCheck employees and their commitment to assisting this great cause. Company Employees Exceed Goal And Donate $8800 To Community Event

Employees participated in company-hosted fund raising events for several months leading up to the relay weekend on September 17 and 18, 2011 in Petaluma, California.
“The $8800 we contributed was an impressive increase over our donation last year and really shows off the commitment our employees made to raising funds for this year's event. We had tremendous participation by our employees as donors and volunteers. Events such as Relay For Life give businesses such as ours an opportunity to support important causes and get involved in the community. Seventy teams participated in the Petaluma Relay For Life event and raised over $195,000. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life events are held throughout the US and in 19 other countries.

Companies Raise Over $2500 with "Dress Down" Donations for Japan Earthquake Victims
ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Optio Solutions, LLC, an accounts receivable management company, and CrossCheck, Inc., the nation’s third largest check approval and guarantee company, announced a donation of $2577 to the Red Cross to benefit disaster relief efforts for victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Employees of the two companies donated money for a "dress down" pass allowing them to wear jeans and casual dress to work at the corporate office.
"The earthquake and tsunami were devastating to the people in Japan; we found that many employees wanted to do something to help out. Our 'Support Japan Dress Down Campaign’ was an active way to get involved and give back, and we had a lot of participation," said Chris Schumacher, President and CEO for Optio Solutions.
Employees of both companies could make a donation to the Red Cross and purchase a pass allowing them to wear jeans and casual dress for a two-week or one-month period ending April 15, 2011.

Funds will provide mammograms to uninsured in Idaho.
ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Optio Solutions, LLC., an accounts receivable management company, announced that Healthcare Services Consultant, Christy Davies, along with former colleagues Cindy Lohmann and Monica Kessel, has been awarded a financial grant from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® foundation. The grant, administered through St. Benedicts Family Medical Center in Jerome, Idaho, will provide up to 150 mammograms to underinsured and impoverished women in the Southern Idaho area.
Previous to her work with Optio Solutions, Davies held clinical and medical administration positions and was recently the Community Affairs and Marketing Director for St. Benedicts Family Medical Center in Jerome, Idaho. Davies currently does volunteer work with St. Benedicts to provide services to the healthcare population in the Southern Idaho area.
“This grant will provide underinsured women in the Jerome area the opportunity to take an important step in the prevention of breast cancer. We are thrilled to put this program in place and thank the Komen group for making it possible," said Davies.
