Optio Solutions Employees Donate to Tornado Relief

American Red CrossPETALUMA, Calif. – Optio Solutions, LLC., an accounts receivable management company announced a donation of over $1,620 to the American Red Cross to support the relief efforts in Oklahoma, North Dakota, Tennessee and Iowa after the areas were hit by a series of tornadoes in May. Employees for the two companies raised money by purchasing “Dress-Down” passes that allowed them to wear jeans to work.

“I commend our employees for their donations to the American Red Cross after the devastating storms in Oklahoma and throughout the area. We are thankful that organizations such as the Red Cross are there to help disaster victims during these difficult times,” said Chris Schumacher, Optio Solutions President and CEO.

The American Red Cross is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that responds to approximately 70,000 disasters in the United States every year. Donations to the organization help provide shelter, food, health and mental health services to help families and entire communities get back on their feet. A multi-agency resource center set up by the American Red Cross and partner agencies in Moore, OK assisted storm victims after the area was hit by an EF5 tornado on May 20, 2013.  Donations to the American Red Cross can be made through their website at www.redcross.org.
