Seminars and Outings

NEUCC

First, any great storyteller will tell you the beginning of a story is just as important as the end, and the Northeastern Utilities Credit and Collection Conference is no different. The conference will begin with a “shotgun start” member and vendor golf outing at Harbor Pines Golf Course, Oct. 23.

This is primarily a social event open to golfers and non-golfers alike. Later that night, more determined non-golfers can attend the welcome reception at 6 PM to meet with vendors and members.

2019 Credit Trends and Economic Outlook

This seminar is presented by Experian, and provides an update of the current economic environment and what the leading indicators signify. Key consumer data will be presented, examining the factors that drive customers’ behavior – bankruptcies, delinquencies, unemployment levels, and debt levels.

It takes place Thursday, Oct. 23 from 9:15 AM – 10:00 AM.

Data Analytics to Allocate Field Resources

From 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM, PSEG Long Island will share an interactive heat map that allows field services and back-office collections to collaborate and coordinate by identifying the most efficient workloads. This will help achieve day sales outstanding, account receivables greater than 90 days, and net write off metrics by identifying progress, pinpoint high-risk areas, and monitor daily trends.

The Digital Payment Revolution Among Utilities

Scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25, 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM, this seminar will cover methods to create a better communication and payment experience with the use of new technologies, including payment technologies. Randy Vyskocil, vice president of Vertical Sales at Speedpay, will explain the significance of data surveying 3,000 U.S. adult consumers who make two or more household payments a month.

This research surprisingly found that despite the general push in the industry towards digital payment methods, in-person payments still remain the most popular. Vyskocil will teach attendees what these findings mean for utility providers, and how utility companies can further adapt to consumers’ payment needs.
