The Healthcare Financial Management Association’s annual conference in 2017 (HFMA ANI 2017) will fast be upon us, taking place in Orlando, Florida on June 25 to June 28, 2017 at the Orange County Convention Center. ANI 2017 is the premiere healthcare finance event for strategies leading to better outcomes for patients, shareholders and stakeholders. With more than 40,000 members, HFMA is the nation’s preeminent association for healthcare finance leaders.

Keynote Presentations
This year’s keynote presentations are power-packed!
Sunday’s kick-off keynote is presented by co-hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough. Their keynote is entitled “The Changing Landscape of America.” In this presentation, they share their thoughts on how working collaboratively and inclusively will serve you, your organization and the industry as a whole.
Steve Pemberton, senior executive at Walgreens Boots Alliance and author of “A Chance in the World & Voice of Change for Youth,” is Monday’s headliner. He will be delivering his keynote entitled “The Advantage of Disadvantage: How to Transform Adversity Into Action.”
Tuesday’s keynote speaker is Joseph Grenny, business communication expert and New York Times best-selling author. Called “Influencer: The New Science of Leading Change,” his presentation will illustrate the importance of influence in our personal and professional lives.

The HFMA ANI 2017’s session finder is pure gold. It can be filtered by topic, by type and by all four days. Each event is linked to a dedicated page delineating event date, time, speakers, a summary, session objectives, level, prerequisites, field of study, CPE credits and session topic.
Networking Opportunities
This year’s conference networking opportunities are myriad.
The opening reception is on Sunday from 6 – 8 pm, immediately following The Changing Landscape of America kick-off keynote. The event will take place right outside of the Hyatt Regency Ballroom. Please report back on the ANI 2017 custom cocktail in the comments section of this blog article 😉
Tuesday night includes the Cheers! To Collaboration event that will transform the ballroom into a nightlife venue including two DJs, an open bar and unlimited food.

Registration & Hotel
Registration and preferred housing along with costs can be found here.
Registration is according to member and non-member status. Healthcare Financial Management Association members can also save money by renewing and registering at the same time. Participants also have the choice to pick and choose what they want to attend a-la-carte style. The lowest cost listed is $450 for one pre-conference workshop, all the way to $2,200 for a non-member to attend everything available at the event. NOTE: Register by 5/5 to save $100 of some registration packages. DOUBLE NOTE: Ever heard of an association offering an ironclad guarantee? HFMA does.
The Hyatt Regency Orlando is the headquarters hotel. Additional preferred hotels with HFMA rates are the Hilton Orlando and Rosen Centre Hotel. NOTE: HFMA rates will be honored through June 2, 2017, based on availability.
